Africa Big Five Wild Animals My First Travel Books edition by Anna Othitis Cecelia Morgan LionheArt Publishing House Children eBooks Reviews
This is such a fabulous little book aimed at giving kids an insight into the thrills of finding wild animals on an adventure.
It contains loads of information, gorgeous pictures, a fun narrative & definitely written to entertain as well as inform. Ideal for beginner readers, older kids to delve into & parents will enjoy it as well.
A good all-rounder. There is a section on the ‘big 5’ animals, explaining what they eat, how they hunt, etc .. great images of flags relative to the areas. All the while giving the important message of conservation.
Only 32 pages but an absolute gem of a book.
I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
This series is fabulous for beginning readers, as well as for pre-readers who need an adult to read to them. This book takes the reader to Africa and shares a great deal of information about five animals from different areas of the continent. It provides a map of the continent, as well as flags of countries where the featured animals reside.
The book provides questions at the end of each section to review the facts which are shared. It also discusses that most of the species featured are facing extinction, and what that really means.
This is a wonderful book for teaching children about some amazing animals. The pictures are gorgeous, and the text is easy to read. I'm sure that my grandchildren are going to enjoy this book.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.**
This book was great. Explaining that most of the animals mentioned were close to extinction and that if that happens, no one will be able to see these animals again, my boys absolutely loved it. Of course, I read through it, then both of them read it on their own kindles. My 9 year old is more of a reader, and more into outdoors stuff, science, and animals, where as my 7 year old is all about sports and games, but they both really enjoyed it a lot.
At the beginning of the book is a map of Africa, along with flags as to where these animals are from, and that's awesome. Huge photos of the big 5 animals are in there also.
I would highly suggest you get this for your child or one that you are close to that you would get gifts for, because this is not only very explanatory, but it's also very likely to provide hours of entertainment!
The best safari adventures ever
My summer babe and I both loved, enjoyed reading this book. It is our second book that we both read from the author Ms.Anna Othitis. I let my summer babe read first and see what does she think of the book. I also read it after she finished reading the book.
She loves animals. There is no doubt that she will LOVED reading this story too. It gives her more information about the five wild animals mentioned in this book like elephant, lion, rhinos, buffalo and leopards. Captain Frankie is a very helpful pilot. Elia is the best tour guide while Angelic Airlines is the best airplane ever. You will learn so many amazing facts while reading this book. The best part is the question at the end of each chapters. It is like a homework in school.
My summer babe and I highly recommends this book. If you love to fly and animals, this book is a must to read and enjoy your adventures with Africa's Five Wild Animals.
The best safari adventures ever and looking forward for more of Captain Frankie's next adventure. We have not been to Africa but it is still in our families top of the bucket list.
Disclosure
I received the ARC of the book to review. All our thoughts and opinions are 100% honestly mine.
I love these books! In the past, I read The Seven Wonders of the World and The Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and was impressed with the presentation of information that would normally not keep the interest of youngsters. This one is a little different in that animals seem to keep the attention of children easier, but this is still a great book for teaching about some of Africa's animals.
In Africa's Big "5" Wildlife Animals, Captain Frankie from Angelic Airlines takes the children to see wildlife in Africa. He has a friend on the ground this time to help show them the animals. Each section has a blurb about the animal, then interesting information (did you know that an elephant's tusks are teeth?), and questions at the end about what they just learned.
Anna Othitis has done a great job once again with Africa's Big "5" Wildlife Animals. Not only does it teach children about Africa's animals, but they'll enjoy learning and will probably want to read it over and over.
A different way to learn about different parts of the world and animals. Great read for kids. I will get more books of her to read.
