Bill O’Reilly and Fox News have parted ways, but the infamous conservative TV personality’s “killing” spree continues. In this death-defying, more or less historically accurate parody of O’Reilly’s Killing series—from an author of the Harvard Lampoon’s Nightlight and one other red-blooded American—Vintage Shorts presents the next batch of grisly fatalities. Witness the lives and untimely ends of American heroes like Ronald Reagan and Albus Dumbledore, and villains from Hitler and bin Laden to Stewart and Colbert. God bless America and Russian hackers.
An eBook short.

If you've ever tear one of Billow the Clown's books, you already know he makes a lot of stuff up...just like that #SoCalledNetwork he got sacked by and his hero #SoCalledPresident Trump. This really ripped on ol' Billy and his phoney baloney "books." Glad I bought it...I laughed out loud. Since getting ****canned by Faux News he'll have lots of time to write even MORE books full of "alternative facts." Maybe Kellyanne Conway can be his new writing partner since the WH put her on the back burner. She had PLENTY of alternative facts!Product details

Killing O'Reilly A Parody A Vintage Short edition by Courtney Bowman Nicholas Bowman Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Funny if a bit silly at times (I think of the two as different in this type of parody and the silly detracts from the funny). At times it is like a Colbert Report (*sigh* Larry Wilmore you ain't cutting it) skit gone on too long. Plenty of buried nuggets of goodness, but you have to dig for it.
I think one problem is I have never waded through any of the original material this riffs on. I tried two. I found such huge errors used to create a false narrative I refused to go on. The immediate need to create a specific agenda at the disregard of known facts was glaring. But that was enough for me to appreciate the humor in poking at something that seemed to take itself so importantly.
Can you tip a sacred cow that is already on its side?
I think here, you can.
I get it, Bill O’Reilly is a jerk who finally payed the price for years of reprehensible behavior toward women. He should pay the price. That being said, it sounds like the writers of this parody began with a confirmation bias and went back to fill in the blanks. It’s as if they were generally aware of the killing series and some of its components without ever reading the series themselves.
Killing O’Reilly is classic parody, reminiscent, or should I say redolent, of the old National Lampoon, with a large dollop of the old MAD magazine. It’s razor sharp, to the point, and accurate. It is instantly familiar. It has cutesy footnotes that are supposed to be writer’s notes to staff. And it’s brief. Because any more of this any you’d throw the book against the wall except it’s an e-book. Someone needs to look into that. We have our rights. No one should be able to take that away from us. Look it up.
Once, Bill O’Reilly appeared on The Colbert Report, and excused all his extremist tossoffs by claiming “It’s all an act.” Stephen Colbert was so stunned he left character for a moment, saying “If you’re an act, what does that make me? What am I?” So here come the Bowmans with a parody of a parody. It works.

poorly written!!!
sorry Courtney, better try harder next time!!
Amazing! The Bowmans are hilarious!!
A hilarious parody of O'Reilly's peculiar genre, and of O'Reilly's even more peculiar self. It's funny whether you love or hate O'Reilly and or his books.
Absolutely not bloviating when I say hilarious.
